My Story
I'm JP, a certified Vinyasa Yoga Instructor and proud Camden native. Born and raised here, I’m passionate about bringing yoga and wellbeing into spaces and communities that don’t always have easy access to it. My approach is grounded, inclusive, and real—whether I’m guiding a class in a studio, a school, a prison, or a local hall.
My yoga journey began like many others—looking to improve my flexibility. But I quickly found much more: a deep sense of connection, clarity, and purpose. I trained through a scholarship with LiveKarmaYoga, an organisation that uses yoga and mentorship to break down barriers and create positive community change. I’m incredibly grateful for the foundation LKY gave me, and I still support their work through outreach and pop-up classes.
Since qualifying, I’ve focused on teaching yoga in a wide range of settings—from prisons to safehouses, schools to men’s circles. One of my proudest achievements has been leading regular sessions for men who initially felt yoga wasn’t for them, helping to shift their perspective and see how this practice can support strength, balance, and stillness.
My background in construction and my life in Camden give me a grounded and relatable lens through which I teach. I’m not here to preach or perform—I’m here to create space for people to breathe, move, and reconnect with themselves, in whatever way feels right for them. My mission is simple: make yoga feel accessible, useful, and human.
Whether you're stepping on the mat for the first time or looking to deepen your practice, my classes are about presence over perfection, connection over competition.
