ABOUT JP

My name is John-Paul and I am a Vinyasa Yoga Instructor and local Camden resident, having lived in this area for all of my Life.
I teach for LiveKarmaYoga an Incentive that utilises Yoga, Wellbeing practices and Mentorship to break down social barriers, encourage a greater sense of Community, providing classes and opportunities accessible to all, irrespective of age, gender, background or ability.
LiveKarmaYoga sessions are either free or contribute as you can, typically hosted within spaces that are in need of positive awareness, in addition to Outreach programmes delivered within settings such as Schools, Nurseries, Prisons, the NHS, Safehouses and Rehabilitation facilities.
With the majority of LKY classes based in SW London, it is of great importance to me to offer the same opportunities in NW London, especially with the added element of re-connecting to my roots and childhood, supporting and investing back into my own Community.
Being a Male teacher, brought up in Camden, who has worked in Construction for the majority of my Career, I believe I am a good ambassador for Yoga, representing that it truly is a practice for everybody.

I took up yoga originally for the "flexibility” but soon discovered my passion and with that a positive change to my life. I was offered a yoga teaching training scholarship through LiveKarmaYoga. Initially this helped deepen my personal practice and develop a greater understanding of the history and philosophy of yoga. The more I learned, the more joy I found, and this built up a passion for me to teach and share my knowledge. My aim in teaching is to bring yoga to everyone, from those with little to no access, to those under the illusion that it is not for them. I am a prime example that yoga can be for everyone.
